Sunday 21st march 2010 09.30 for a 10.00 start
Police Pistol Comp at Sywell to include a Sky marshal Qual Shoot.
Turning targets with FBI targets for the SM Shoot.
Should have rules and format ironed out by the end of the week and posted here.
Cost £6 members of NTSC and £12 visitors, all targets, medals and prizes included in price. Lunch bring your own or burgers next door!
If well supported we will run a FBI Qual Shoot later in year, again with turning FBI bottle style targets.
Reply here if you want to shoot this comp! |

We are going to test plastic BBs this evening to see if we can allow them on the Police Pistol Comp, which will open up comp to Airsofters.
Metal BBs will definitely remain banned.
Myself and Terry W will discuss shoot format this evening and publish rules this weekend.
Test with plastic BBs went OK, so are allowed for this comp.
Airsoft BBs striking target sufficiently well to score!

Being gamey, can we use different pistols for each event?
You realy need a bottom stuffer for the Air Marshall & something more accurate than an Anics or Airsoft for the PP1.
I assume the Air mareshal shoot will be concealed carry?

Good to hear from you
If you want to use a differient gun for both events, that will not be a problem
Only two of 7 stages for the Sky Marshal shoot start concealed from the holster, all the others are shot from low ready
If you want to check the rules/stages, all the details are up on our Club website
www.ntsc-online.org.uk
Look forward to seeing you

Now airsoft is included you can put me down as a definate for the comp., the time and effort taken to test is much appreciated. I hope this takes off as it sounds great.
Do holsters have to cover the trigger? And what are the distance adjustments for airsoft etc likely to be so I can practice accordingly (if my garage is long enough lol)?

Hi Stan,
Distances as posted on club website, see posts above, same distances whatever pistol you choose to use.
For safety, in line with IPAS Rules holsters must cover triggers. |

Any chance you could open this out to 22 rimfire pistols? I would not mind trying the Air Marshal Q shoot with my Buckmark... (BTW the rules link does not work).
Edit: the 180 pivot might be a problem...how were you planning to do that one?

Hi Chris
This one will be air only. Might do something with firearms in future if interest is there.
Concealed draw with LBR would be interesting
The rule link works for me, just click on where it says 'Click Here'. Not on picture for PDF
If you still have problems, let me know & I will e-mail them to you. I will also bring couple of copies down to East Barnet at the weekend. If you want to grab a copy or get someone to pick them up for you.
We got round the pivot start by making it a surrender start. Yes, vison of doing pivot start on a line was not appealing

Sounds good. The PP CoF says waist level holsters but they are all shoot from the ready so does it actually matter? (my holster is on a drop hanger for practical stuff, although the trigger is covered and the butt sits higher than the top of the belt). |

Steve
That would be fine
As you say PP cof is all from ready position, Holster just makes it eay to move round between stages & going forward to score targets
